For A Purpose

We all seek a purpose for our lives. We seek to have a meaning to living on this planet. Jesus has given me a meaning and purpose: to spread the gospel and to glorify God. Yet we all face challenges or roadblocks as one of my professors says. These roadblocks happen for a reason right? As the saying goes everything happens for a reason. I don't like that saying for several reasons but my rebuttal statement is everything happens for a purpose. Whether that be a breakup, parents divorced, mental illness, major change, moving, medical problems and so on and so forth. There is a purpose for every struggle we face or even people we come across. Each person, or trial, or even a good thing all are meant to shape us and change us for the better. It is the purpose of becoming more like Christ.

A person that is very close to me has been an example of how God can use the good, the bad, and the ugly to change us into becoming more like hin. I am proud of this person and thankful to God for the change in their life and for their testimony. I am truly blessed because of this person and the effort that they push toward Christ. The change that they seek is in the Lord. I am also blessed because they not only seek the Lord for them but they pray for me. This person has done more than I can say but the blessing that they are  to me will last more than a lifetime.
