Doubts... We All Have Them

I was blown away that I got 105 views on my last post. I've

learned that people like the raw and the real. I can't take credit for my last blog post. I give Jesus Christ the honor and glory for every word that was written. This past week I was presented with a challenge... the challenge of whether I am truly saved or not. I have been doubting my salvation. Some of you are like how can you doubt if you wrote what you did on the last blog post. I've realized it is a struggle all Christ followers face. During my doubts I have looked to God's word and have cried out to Jesus to fix me, to make me clean, and to make me whole. Through the challenge, the Lord showed me his sovereign grace and mercy. He showed me two things that well cleared up a lot of questions for me.

1. My heart and soul is like a dirty shower.  The dirty shower is reflection of my true condemned and depraved sin nature. All people are innately sinful because of the fall of Adam, so we are all like the dirty shower. However the the head custodian, Jesus Christ is the one who comes to make us whole or to make us clean. He cleans every nasty, messed up, sinful, broken parts of the shower or in other words our heart and soul. He comes to clean when we call upon him to be cleaned. 

2. The true light and the fake light.  The moon and the lamppost. These two lights are both lights which is obvious. However which one gets its light from the sun? The moon or the lamppost? In the world of Christianity there are people who claim to be lights for Christ but are just lampposts or fake lights. They go on sinning with no repentance or do not even shown true fruit of the Holy Spirit. These are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness and faithfulness. The moons or true lights will reflect this. The moon gets their light from the son(sun), Jesus.  Do we truly reflect the light of Christ according to scripture?  The true light needs to be reflected off to all men.
