 Prayer Journal Poem 2

I am learning. 

I am learning to lean

To lean not on my understanding. 

For your ways are better, 

You understand what I cannot.

You know the plans you have for me. 

They are always only good. 

So I must lean on you. 

You give mercy and grace.

You restore my weary heart. 

Verses of Hope

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. -Proverbs 3:5-6

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.- Isaiah 55:8-9

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because[g] the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good,[h] for those who are called according to his purpose. - Romans 8:26-28
