From A Younger Me
A little quirk about me is that I enjoy the memories that will pop up on Facebook. And the good Lord knows that the things I posted will either be cringe, sad, happy or even thoughtful. It amazes me sometimes of things I used to either post or write on regular basis. To say in short, yes, I have changed.
The beautiful thing of God's providence amazes me on a constant basis. He knows what we need when we need it. He knows our hearts and he absolutely cares! So in God's providence this post appeared on my Facebook.....
The context behind this post matters. November 7, 2016- two days prior I was broken up with by my first boyfriend. It was hard at the time and I will never know what prompted me to post this during my sophomore year of college. When I reflect on all the things that followed this post and seeing God's hand direct my life. He was continuously faithful to me. He led me through so much after all of these things. It was all for my good, God's will prevails. His goodness never fails.
If you are in situation, where you are trying to figure it all out on your own, I remind you and even myself to lean into Jesus. Seek His face above all. Stop on trying to holding onto the rope, or you'll get some serious rope burn. Trust the Father's hand. He cares.
Verses of Hope
Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavens in Christ. For he chose us in him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in love before him. He predestined us to be adopted as sons through Jesus Christ for himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace that he lavished on us in the Beloved One.
Ephesians 1:3-6 CSB
For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Ephesians 3:14–21 ESV
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
Matthew 11:28-30 NIV
