Let Us Remember

Lord, you have created all of these things in our life. 

You work everything for our good even amidst our questions.

Amidst our greatest losses of those we loved. 

You are still God. You are still good. You are still holy.

You never change. 

In our darkest moments, you are the light. 

When we are shaken by the world around us, you are our peace. 

When we want to see the next page of the story you are writing, let us trust in you alone. 

Knowing it is all apart of the work you started in us that you Lord will bring to completion. 

 Let us lament the days which have gone as the seasons change. 

Yet you never change. You Lord stay the same.

Let us come to you  as you are our hiding place and our shelter. 

We are weak. We are from the dust and you know our frame.

All in all you want to hear from us. 

In our moments of joy.

In our moments of tears and sadness.

You want us to come even when we have sinned. 

For you are full of mercy and grace. 

Let us remember your ways are for our good, o Lord.

Let us remember you are our God of grace.

Let us remember you are our Creator.

Let us remember you are the Lord of time, who purposely plans our steps. 

Let us remenber you are our God. 

Help us to keep our eyes on you. 

Amen.

 Keeping our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. For the joy that lay before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
