For Unmet Expectations

He wraps up the water in his clouds, yet the clouds do not burst beneath its weight.

 Job 26:8 CSB

Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! “For who has known the mind of the Lord,
or who has been his counselor?” “Or who has given a gift to him
that he might be repaid?”  For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.

 Romans 11:33–36 ESV

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.
 Proverbs  3:5–6 ESV

The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

Proverbs 21:1 KJV

For Unmet Expectations

Walking, running, sitting, and resting.
We walk through the day by day seeing and expecting for the day to be problem free.
But as our days go by may we not expect for there to bump or two.
We may get frustrated or even angry, but how much do we forget in these moments.
We forget and act as those who believe there is no God.

For weeks life may go according to plan
And we meet the convivences of our daily lives as though we were in control.
Yet let us not forget the one who holds up the clouds and yet lets them break forth to water the earth.
The One who makes the snowflakes and yet has numbered our very hairs.
The sovereign ruler of the skies.

Even from our expectations of what we thought or how people could or would act.
For He holds the hearts of rulers and kings, yet still knows their very hearts.
Sometimes it is the letting going of what we expected, for remembering and looking to the one who controls all things.
Dear sheep, it is okay to grieve the loss of expectations.
It is okay to lament about the things you had hoped for to the One who knows all things.

Hold to what is true, remembering that all things God will use for your good.
He will not leave you and will lead you.
Trust & Rest. Leave the expectation in His hands.
