Steadfast Love
What comes to your mind when you hear the word love? Please comment below the first thought that comes to mind when you hear the word love. I am doing a study about love and would like to know my reader's thoughts about love. I know the timing is all so great with Valentine's Day right around the corner or as I refer to it as Single's Appreciation Day. I am not writing this blog post to focus on the reality of Valentine's Day and what it really means. I am writing to focus on the steadfast and ever faithful love of God.
God is love. He loves every person from the past, the present and the future. His love is steadfast. His love is faithful. How do I know this? The Bible repeadetedly refers to God's love as steadfast/faithful throughout the Old Testament. It's amazing. Though I did not get to continue my study on love, 've realized that the love of God never changes. It is consistent. Jesus as incarnate God displays this same steadfast and faithful love. Jesus is patient. Jesus is kind. Jesus did not envy. Jesus is not puffed up. He endured all things, Jesus endured the cross for every person's sake. Jesus took on all sins for every sin any human committed. Jesus endured death so that we might not die. Jesus is love.
