Heavenward Thoughts on The Passing of Rev. Billy Graham
I first heard of passing Rev. Billy Graham into the glory Jesus yesterday morning. His life, his testimony, the many services he preached, and the many that came to Christ through the power of the word of God and the working of the Holy Spirit. It is amazing how the Lord worked through one man. As I have read, seen, and listened of the many pictures, comments, posts, and videos about the life he lived on this earth, I have realized one thing. It does not matter what denomination, nor age, or even the color of ones skin, the GOSPEL is the unifies the body of Christ. This may sound stupid to many but wise to others, that it is gospel and the light of the truth in the words of Jesus Christ. I am not ashamed of the gospel. I am not ashamed of my Jesus.
If it was not for Jesus saving me and changing me I would not be writing this or even his glorifying his name. The Gospel is so amazing! That Jesus, the incarnate son of God would leave his throne to to come to this world todie for all humanity, that he would die for my sin and my shame. It is the power of the Gospel and its message that gives hope, and makes the spiritual dead living again.
We deserve death, hell, and the cross. I deserve death and hell. I deserve to die. But Jesus! But Jesus! That's all I can say that he is life, he is hope, and he is the peace that our world desperately needs. God has given me a new life, a new hope, and a new purpose to live all because of Christ.
It is because of Jesus I live ,the love he poured on the cross, and the hope of his resurrection that brings life to all who believe.
"But God demonstrates his own love toward us, that while we were still yet sinners Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
