For Weary Doubting Days
My Father, My God
You see me in my doubts, you see me in the days when the darkness feels close.
You see the dryness and weariness of this endless spiritual desert that I face.
Let me earnestly hold unto those things which are true of you.
For you O God have never forsaken any of your children.
When I hideaway, draw near to me my God.
Be near to me when all seems lost and I am left with utter disbelief.
Help my unbelief.
Help me in my doubts of your goodness, help me to have a mustard seed of faith
When the days are long and the weeks even longer, I will still trust in You.
When the weariness of the day meets its end, let me remember that nothing is wasted.
For you, my Father use all things, both big and small, to the smallest details for my good.
Your purposes will always stand amongst my plans.
Let me remember you are always faithful from day to day.
From week to week...
From month to month
From year to year.
May all my days be days to recount your faithfulness, my God.
You are still good. You are always faithful.
Amen
And Jesus said to him, “ ‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.” Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!"
Mark 9:23-24
Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! “For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?” “Or who has given a gift to him that he might be repaid?” For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.
Romans 11:33–36.
