Confessions&Healing

I have a hard time figuring out what to write and well I just haven't wanted to write. I have a more important confession.

In the last several years of my life, there have been broken parts and pain that I have allowed to dictate my life and how I interact with people. When people generally meet me they mostly will meet a quiet woman who admittedly looks young for her age. I write as a way for people to hear my voice and to share truth to people that do not know the best truth of all, the gospel.  I typically do not speak out or share all my ideas, because of pain that I allowed dictating my life from people who have hurt me.

So what's my point with this blog post? We allow the pain of past situations and experiences to dictate our lives sometimes as I have. When people place their pain before  God, it becomes an idol first, and secondly, it keeps you from moving forward and growing in the Lord.  Pain is a part of the process whether we like it or not. Do not let it stop you from being who God created you to be for His Glory.  You see it's easier said than done. I came to a point tonight where the Lord reconciled me to himself.  He reminded me of when I was twelve and came to Christ as my savior. I was broken from my sin and the pain of my heart and yet he still wanted me. His cry to me tonight was this: I still want you and still love you as I loved you then. I see the pain you've wrapped and clothed yourself in. I give you my clean white garment to put on. Let me take your pain and turn it into something beautiful.

If you have been hurt and have clung to your pain, this is the cry of Jesus to you. He loves you and has never stopped loving you. Come to him with your broken pieces for he bore your pain on the cross. He bore your brokenness on the cross. He gives a free gift to be set free in him.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.[a] The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. - 2 Corinthians 5:17
