If This Is Real

If this is real... then what am I doing about it? Well what are we doing about it?  What is it? If Jesus truly rose from the dead then what are we the body of Christ doing about the fact that he is alive?  Matt Papa's song This Changes Everything is my inspiration for this blog article.  I really enjoy the music that he writes for God's glory. Here is a link to YouTube to the song: This Changes Everything. Matt Papa asks several questions within his chorus asking the following, 

If this is true, this changes everything
If this is real, I've got to tell the world
If He is God, then I've got choice to make
If I believe, then I must follow Him

So am I really living as if Jesus is truly alive? Are we living fully for Christ as we ought? Honestly, I'm no where near to that point. I need to but I fail Jesus everyday and I wish I didn't.  These four lines really show that as Christians we need to live are all for Jesus. He gave us his all. I believe so I will follow him. God is who he says he is and I must follow him. The sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus is real and it means more to me then anything to share this truth with the world. I know this is where most of the modern day church falls flat. I'm just being real.  My good friend Hector (just friends) and I were having a similar conversation not to long ago about sharing the gospel with are unbelieving family and friends. Our conclusion.... A. It's difficult and B. The Lord will always go before us. Yeah, simple conclusions, but what matters the most is that Jesus is going before us  in every situation. He is our Great High Priest. Another important point to remember is that the word of God never returns void (Isaiah 55:11).  If everything that happened in the gospels happened as recorded then what am I waiting for, I need to follow Jesus. 

I want to make another point about following Jesus. Sometimes there are crazy things we will be called to do and it will not be easy to follow through with. There have been times where I'm like really Jesus? I don't want to do that or I'm not cut out for that. However the Lord sees differently than we do and we have to trust and have faith in the fact that he is who he says he is. His plans are greater than our plans. Just follow Jesus and don't turn back.
